CARLETON COLLEGE SUMMER PROGRAMS

DEADLINE DATES:

A true pre-college experience… our programs give students a three week, credit earning, residential experience at a private liberal arts college. We pride ourselves in having an application process that is very similar to that of a college application; we require a completed online application, transcripts, and a few short essays. Before any admittance decisions are made, all applications are reviewed by Summer Programs staff, Carleton faculty, and an admission committee. We encourage applicants to apply early in the spring as programs may be full by the final deadline.

  • December 12, 2014 – Summer Academic Programs Application Opens

  • February 9, 2015 – 1st Round deadline for general and scholarship applicants

  • March 25, 2015 – 2nd Round deadline for general and scholarship applicants(this is the last day to apply for a scholarship for summer 2015)

  • May 8, 2015 – 3rd Round deadline and all applications close

COST:

Let’s talk about program expenses… We don’t have any hidden fees! Our three-week residential programs and institutes are all inclusive.

Carleton College has a strong commitment to making our programs fiscally possible for students and their families. In 2014 we allocated more than $200,000 in scholarships to students participating in our summer programs. You don’t think your family would qualify for a need-based scholarship? Don’t worry! We also offer merit-based scholarships for our programs.

International students are welcome to apply for our programs. Due to the time sensitivity of applying for an F-1 visa, all international students are encouraged to apply by March 25, 2015.
